What to expect at your first visit

Plan on 60-90 minutes. We'll take a detailed allergy history — what triggers you, what you've tried, what your seasons look like — and examine your nasal airway. If allergy testing is indicated and available in-house, we can often perform it during your visit. Otherwise we'll coordinate testing with a trusted partner. You'll leave with a clear diagnosis, a written medication plan, and a discussion of long-termoptions including immunotherapy.

Nasal Obstruction FAQ

Do I need a referral to see an ENT at Exhale?

For most patients, no — you can book directly. Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care physician; our team will verify your specificplan requirements before your visit.

Which sinus and nasal problem should I book for if I have several symptoms?

You don't need to self-diagnose. Book a sinus and nasal evaluation, and Dr. Vaughn or your Exhale ENT provider will
identify which conditions are driving your symptoms — and how they connect. Many patients have more than one contributing issue.

Can most sinus and nasal problems really be treated without surgery?

Yes. Modern ENT has shifted dramatically toward in-office, minimally invasive procedures — Balloon Sinuplasty, VivAer, RhinAer, ClariFix, NEUROMARK, Sinuva, incisionless septoplasty, in-office turbinate reduction. Traditional surgery still has a role, but it's often no longer the first or only option.
